About the role
The Occupational Therapist at Henry Ford Home Health Care is responsible for performing evaluations and treatments under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor. Duties include communicating effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other system employees, supervising and delegating tasks to assistants and technicians, and accurately documenting patient care.
Responsibilities
- Performs OT evaluation and treatment patient care duties as appropriate.
- Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
- Supervises and delegates tasks to assistants and technicians as appropriate.
- Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Master's Degree, preferred.
- Current State of Michigan Registration and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of home health care protocols and standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and environments.
