Occupational Therapist Hand Therapist

About the role

Inpatient orthopedic clinic seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist with a hand therapy focus. Candidates may include new graduates with Level II hand fieldwork, OTs with 1+ year of hand therapy experience, or CHTs (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan of care, treat, re-evaluate, discharge, and communicate high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients.
• Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
• National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start.
• Newly licensed OT graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy and Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.

• Experience in outpatient settings preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Starting at $72,000+ annually, based on experience.
