Occupational Therapist - Full-time

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Occupational Therapists (OTs) play a central role in this process, offering compassionate and excellent treatment throughout the recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Serve as a supervisor for certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and occupational therapy students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
• Attend continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.

Pay

$37.00 - $56.00 per hour, based on experience.
