Occupational Therapist - Full-time

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. Occupational Therapists (OTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the patient’s journey.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and occupational therapy students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
• Attend continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques for patient rehabilitation.

Pay

$33.00 to $50.00 per hour based on experience.
