About the role
Fulton State Hospital is opening an innovative new program at the Hearnes Psychiatric Center designed for clients diagnosed with both developmental disabilities and mental illness. The program will provide acute psychiatric and behavioral stabilization in an inpatient mental health setting.
Responsibilities
- Function as an active member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Complete planning and conduct therapeutic groups within the Hearnes Acute Rehabilitation Program to meet client needs.
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and consultations for clients with sensory integration, complex medical needs, and disabilities.
- Provide case management and complete required program and department documentation.
Requirements
Must hold a license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Missouri.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and serious mental illnesses is preferred.
Skills
Experience with evidence-based treatment and innovative practices is beneficial.
