Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will provide direct professional therapy services to oncology patients in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. This posting represents both our inpatient and outpatient openings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient consultation, evaluation, program planning and treatment to restore function, relieve pain, promote healing, prevent disability and/or facilitate adaptation to permanent disability.
• Reviews patient referrals and medical records.
• Contributes to performance improvement and quality management tasks.
• Participates in patient and student education.
• Affords assistance in orientation of new employees and volunteers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education Required: Bachelor's or Advanced Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Education Preferred: Advanced Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Experience Required: None.
• Licenses/Certifications Required: OT - Occupational Therapist - Registered Licensed in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Upon Hire.

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm to include a 1-hour lunch. For inpatient, one weekend day required per month, with a flex day during the week leading up to that weekend.
