Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with state practice acts, the established plan of care, and company policies.
- Help optimize functional independence, self-care, and quality of life for older adult participants.
- Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and required in-service education.
- Collaborate with the Director of Rehabilitation to develop and enhance therapy programming (full-time positions).
- Provide clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.
- Follow all infection control procedures and applicable resident rights guidelines.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and effectively prioritize participant care.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Perform duties that may involve moderate to heavy physical activity.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Foreign-trained candidates must have their degree evaluated as equivalent to U.S. entry-level Occupational Therapy education by an AOTA-approved credentialing agency.
