Occupational Therapist

Position Overview

St. David's Center is seeking a pediatric therapist to provide services in our Outpatient Pediatric Clinic and Autism Day Treatment programs. We are looking for a full-time float staff who can cover clients when staff are out on planned PTO for short or extended periods of time. In addition to supporting continued client care for staff absence, the float OT would be responsible for evaluations and some ongoing clients on their schedule. A float therapist may be covering outpatient sessions, within the Autism Day Treatment Program or Family Place.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• MN OT License, NBCOT Registration, CPR certification
• Record of continued professional education coursework
• 1 years of experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist including training and experience with sensory processing disorders, experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and working with young children with autism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability, showing both independent and collaborative work skills
• Good problem solving and organizational skills
• Cultural sensitivity, openness and ability to work with variety of families
• Playful interactive style, able to establish rapport readily with children
• Positive professional attitude
• Physically able to manage demands of work
