Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations in an acute inpatient setting to assess functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, mobility, strength, and independence.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions including neurological rehab, orthopedic recovery, and functional training.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
• Document patient progress, goals, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and EMR requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control policies, and quality care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
