Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations in an acute inpatient setting to assess functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, mobility, strength, and independence.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions including neurological rehab, orthopedic recovery, and functional training.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
- Document patient progress, goals, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and EMR requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control policies, and quality care initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
