Occupational Therapist
About the role
Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation- Occupational Therapy. Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN). Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS. Join our Outpatient Rehabilitation Team and make a meaningful impact through patient-centered care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans that help patients improve function, maximize independence, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. In this role, you will provide one-on-one therapy in a collaborative outpatient setting, treating patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, lymphedema, and pelvic health conditions. The ideal candidate is dedicated to evidence-based practice, functional outcomes, and exceptional patient care while partnering with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in an acute hospital setting to improve functional mobility, ADLs, safety, and independence
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medically complex adult and geriatric patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe and timely discharge planning
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use
- Document evaluations, progress, and discharge recommendations in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Schedule
Shifts Available: Days, Variable Shifts. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 6 pm; Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
