Occupational Therapist

Primary Responsibilities

• Follows all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
• Follows the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants.
• Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.

Required Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice
• CPR certification
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrate ability to work independently
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills

Pay Range

Annual total cash target pay range: $48,175 - $72,263
Per visit point rate: $23.16 - $34.74 per visit point
Hourly rate: $27.79 - $41.69
