Occupational Therapist

About the role

This Band 6 Occupational Therapist post sits within the acute inpatient team at Perth Royal Infirmary. You will work within a multidisciplinary team holding your own caseload, providing clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients across the older persons medicine pathway.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients across the older persons medicine pathway
• Hold and manage own caseload within a multidisciplinary team
• Support and progress service development in a busy environment
• Support junior OT staff
• Participate in regular supervision sessions and appraisals

Requirements

• Relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist within physical rehabilitation services
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Confident approach to multidisciplinary team working within an integrated Health and Social Care setting
• Skills to support and progress service development

Schedule

• 18 hours per week (part-time)
• 5 out of 7 day service/rota (aligned with move towards 7-day working)
• Fixed-term/secondment contract for up to 1 year

Pay

NHS Band 6 salary scale, pro rata for part-time hours.
