Responsibilities

• Assess the functional capabilities of children ages 0-3 relative to their age-appropriate milestones for potential developmental delays or developmental risk factors.
• Provide individual home-based and virtual services for a caseload of families with a wide range of racial backgrounds, cultures, religions, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity and abilities, with understanding of how their life experiences may be impacted by social determinants.
• Collaborate with the family to develop goals to address the child's development that fit into their daily routines and play.
• Model and coach caregivers to integrate strategies into the family's daily routines to aid in the child meeting major developmental milestones.
• Continuously assess the progress of your clients and collaboratively adjust the plan as needed.
• Identify, research, and refer families to community resources to support IFSP outcomes, address immediate family needs, and support natural learning opportunities.
• Consult and partner with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
• Ensure that all events and documentation are completed within the program's required timelines.

Requirements

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
• A valid Drivers License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments.
• Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
• Able to get at child's level, climb stairs, deal with weather conditions, lifting, bending, and squatting.
