Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate remediation, instructional plans and strategies
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement IEPs addressing students’ physical and functional needs
- Design and implement a variety of evidence-based instructional activities aligned with student’s individualized occupational therapy goals/objectives
- Follow and implement treatment plans
- Track service delivery in Welligent on a weekly basis
- Implement and modify treatment plans based on student progress and needs
- Conduct occupational therapy screenings
- Document student progress towards meeting established goals and objectives
- Conduct formal assessments
- Participate in IEP meetings of students on assigned caseload
- Possess and share knowledge of the role of occupational therapy, normal sensory motor development, and other topics as required
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress toward IEP goals
- Collect and analyze student data to track school performance and student achievement in accordance with our educational model
