Occupational Therapist
Job Summary
You will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities. This position will serve the Minot area.
Responsibilities
- Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.)
- Develop treatment plans
- Conduct evaluations/re-evaluations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Document thoroughly
- Provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients
- Evaluate patient’s functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, work capacity, etc.)
- Evaluate home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living
- Identify equipment needs and participate in the development of the total plan of care
- Develop treatment program and establish goals for improved function
- Communicate plan of care to referring physician and other Organization professionals
- Teach new skills or retrain patient in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury, in accordance with Organization policy
- Fabricate splints and instruct patient in the use of various types of adaptive equipment to improve function
- Train patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices
Requirements
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Home health experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Auto Insurance

Pay Range
$35.53 - $52.85 /hour
