Job Summary
The Brattleboro Retreat seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT R/L) to join its inpatient mental health team. This role supports children and adolescents in their mental health recovery through a developmental and functional lens, helping them build skills for daily life and meaningful occupations.

Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensed by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Licensed in Vermont, or license-eligible
- 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health or with specific age group; open to qualified entry-level practitioners
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrates service competency in the administration of standardized assessments
- Maintains patient confidence and protects hospital operations by keeping information confidential
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, Brattleboro Retreat Policy, and administrative regulation
- Maintains and improves professional competence
- Assists with maintaining and organizing supply closets, unit activity spaces, and other storage areas
- Complies with AOTA regulations regarding supervision of interns
- Supervises interns and provides consistent and appropriate feedback to students and volunteers
