Occupational Therapist
About the role
The Occupational Therapist at Athletico plays a crucial role in helping patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives and working environments. They treat complex upper extremity diagnoses such as tendon repairs, fractures, and wound care, and fabricate custom orthoses. The therapist works closely with patients to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills, aiming to guide clients back to independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans using occupational therapy techniques to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
- Evaluate patients, establish treatment goals, and update these goals throughout the course of care.
- Assist in the fabrication and fitting of custom orthotic devices and provide training to patients.
- Communicate with physicians and case managers regarding patient progress and needs.
- Determine appropriate discharge plans and coordinate patient follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for patient charts and billing purposes.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and OSHA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
- Current Professional licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Two years of experience in Hand Therapy.
- Current CPR certification.

Pay and Schedule
Base salary ranges from USD $78,800.00/Yr. to USD $100,000.00/Yr., depending on various factors including complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Offers are made within the applicable base pay range at the time of offer.
