Occupational Therapist Acute PRN

About the Role

We are currently looking for an ambitious Occupational Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a skilled member of the healthcare team and provide therapeutic services to patients using initial assessments, therapeutic procedures, and interventions in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital and applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Treat disabilities, injuries, and disease using therapeutic techniques according to prescriptions from a physician, performs testing and evaluation procedures on patients.
• Record and document patient observation, treatment, and changes in condition.
• Monitor, analyze, and review clinical data.
• Reevaluate and modify treatment plans and goals based upon patient performance.
• Communicate clearly and provide explanations of care in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s preferred
• Experience in an appropriate healthcare setting
• Clear/active Florida Occupational Therapist license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required (within 90 days of hire)

Skills
