Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and implement treatment programs for a range of diagnoses, from simple to complex.
• Measure patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on therapy techniques and safety precautions.
• Apply knowledge of Occupational Therapy procedures, practices, and equipment.
• Ensure safety by recognizing hazards and implementing necessary precautions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s preferred.
• Current Florida Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of therapy theory, procedures, and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation and splinting/orthotic fabrication is preferred.
• Less than one year of clinical experience in the relevant setting.
