About the role

The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking an Occupational Safety Health Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Western Service Area (WSA) Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Program.

Responsibilities

  • Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health standards, ensuring that all records are prepared and maintained.
  • Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation.
  • Investigates, prepares reports, and forwards documents to customer for approval.
  • Reports on injuries and fatalities.
  • Conducts safe work procedures training courses.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S. for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks).
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted/considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Associated Safety Professional certification.
  • Knowledge in areas such as Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector, Certified Lead Professional, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).
  • Fit-tested and able to wear respirators and be enrolled in Respiratory Protection Program (if hired).
  • Experience with confined space assessment, program administration; Forklift Operator, Forklift Instructor; Aerial Lift Operator, and Aerial Lift Instructor.

Skills

  • Highly developed presentation skills, comfortable conducting training classes, self-motivated and proactive team player, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficient using MS Office software.

Pay

The pay range for this role could fall anywhere between $73,450.00 - $132,775.00 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.
