About the role

The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking an Occupational Safety Health Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Western Service Area (WSA) Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Program. The selected candidate will work onsite and assist the District Safety and Environmental Compliance Managers (SECMs) for the Los Angeles (LAX) District.

Responsibilities

  • Takes effective steps to ensure workplace conditions comply with Occupational Safety and Health standards.
  • Participates in OSHA inspections and follows up on any procedures resulting from citations.
  • Reports on injuries and fatalities.
  • Conducts safe work procedures training courses.
  • Serves as a point of contact for EOSH investigations related to potential accidental releases, mishaps, and employee complaints.
  • Supports the FAA, ATO, WSA EOSH Program, including managing Asbestos, Lead, Environmental Compliance, OSH Compliance, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Safety Training, Drinking Water, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
  • Assists SECMs in managing these programs and overseeing safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Absolutely must have a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident/green card holder with continuous residency in the U.S. for the past 3 years.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Public Trust Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Preferred certifications: CIH, CSP, or ASP.
  • Experience in asbestos, lead, environmental compliance, OSH compliance, confined space, fall protection, safety training, drinking water, and IAQ.
  • Fit-tested and capable of wearing a respirator.
  • Experience climbing structures and overseeing fall protection programs.
  • Confined space assessment experience and program administration experience.
  • Forklift operator and instructor experience.
  • Aerial lift operator and instructor experience.
  • Highly developed presentation skills and ability to conduct training classes.

Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Benefits

The pay range for this role could fall between $85,000 to $95,000, with a slight wiggle room based on experience and assessment. Additional factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, market data, applicable bargaining agreements, or other laws, will be considered in extending an offer.
