Position Responsibilities
- Build and own the workplace safety playbook.
- Design, launch, and champion programs that ensure everyone leaves work as healthy as they arrived.
- Be the coach and mentor. Create engaging training and step up as a trusted mentor to help teammates work smarter and safer.
- Stay ahead of the curve. Translate complex regulations into simple, actionable strategies for the business.
- Problem-solver in chief. Prepare for anything. When audits spot a gap, engineer the fix, building smart, sustainable action plans to keep us running smoothly.
- Lead the vibe check on safety. Plan and run regular walk-throughs and audits to spot risks before they become problems.
- SME (Subject Matter Expert) for high-stakes safety. Run point on the critical stuff—from Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and fall protection to heavy crane systems and transport safety.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment
- 1+ years of experience completing process oriented tasks accurately and in an organized manner
- 1+ years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
- 1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
- 1+ years of experience developing and implementing process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Public Health, etc.)
- 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience managing projects
