Position Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes
- Drives thorough investigations for all incidents and accidents, develop effective root cause analysis and countermeasures, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions
- Develops and provides training and instructions
- Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
- Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
- Plans and conduct health and safety audits
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science or related disciplines or equivalent subject matter knowledge skills and abilities acquired through work
- 5+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
- 5+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification, or other professional certification
- Applied knowledge in health and safety disciplines including Hazard Communication, LOTO, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Incident Investigation, Ergonomics, Behavioral Based Safety, Machine Guarding and Lean Manufacturing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Understanding of ISO 45001
