Occupational Hand Therapist -Noblesville

About the role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for disabled patients. This role also establishes and maintains a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and personal safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan therapy for disabled patients
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Establish effective team functioning and positive patient outcomes
• Communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers
• Provide quality service to impaired individuals
• Incorporate understanding of patient behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited OT program
• Valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit
• Certified Hand Therapist, preferred but not required
• Previous experience with Orthopedic Hand patients
• Minimum of one (1) year of orthotic experience
• Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends

• Effective communication skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of orthopedic hand conditions and treatments
