This Occupational / Hand Therapist position provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain all required patient documentation.
- Maintain high patient satisfaction standards and meet productivity standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility to assist others as needed.
- Supervise support staff during patient care activities when necessary.
- Customer Service:
- Consistently deliver professional, empathetic, and service-oriented healthcare to patients and families.
- Provide professional and service-oriented delivery to internal customers (e.g., physicians, employees).
- Effectively manage external and internal complaints.
- Respond promptly to patient or internal requests and communicate information to supervisors to resolve service issues.
- Quality:
- Evaluate, treat, delegate, document, and discharge patients according to service guidelines and accepted practices.
- Adhere to organizational, departmental, federal, and state policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
- Complete required medical education and internal competency documentation.
- Participate in program and service improvement initiatives.
- Financial Stewardship:
- Accurately track individual productivity and meet clinic productivity standards.
- Complete charging for services and supplies accurately, ensuring documentation matches services provided.
- Submit charges within organizational standards.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of equipment and seek cost-control opportunities.
- Participate in providing education for support staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy or a related therapy discipline.
- At least 1 year of hand therapy experience or a Licensed Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
- Possess or be eligible for State of Tennessee licensure in the discipline.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Excellent communication skills.
