Occupancy Specialist
About the role
The Occupancy Specialist manages the application and leasing process, including screening visitors and determining applicant eligibility. They are responsible for maintaining confidential records and ensuring compliance with fair housing principles and program rules.
Responsibilities
- Making appointments, receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls using a telephone script.
- Maintaining and controlling confidential files and records.
- Preparing leases for occupancy and making initial computation of rents and monthly payments according to authority policy.
- Reviewing applications and interviewing applicants for housing.
- Maintaining the waiting list of applicants for housing and determining applicant eligibility.
- Maintaining continuing compliance and resident relations, upholding all fair housing principles, and applying the unique Program rules correctly including the student, unit transfer, unit vacancy and available unit rules.
Requirements
2-4 years of related experience. Generally has specific experience in the regulatory occupancy field.

Pay
Expected pay rate of $28 to $35 per hour.
