Occupancy and Recertification Specialist
Responsibilities
- Utilize organizational skills and experience to provide premier affordable housing accommodations.
- Create a welcoming experience and sense of community through daily interactions with prospective and current residents.
- Process certifications (including initial, interim, and annual).
- Calculate retroactive rent while conforming to all applicable guidelines.
- Collect necessary documentation from current or prospective residents, and process verifications.
- Apply correct rents for annual and interim recertification; adjust to remain compliant.
- Review and finalize HUD 50059 forms.
- Prepare rent repayment agreements and explain rent calculations to residents according to HUD guidelines.
- Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Experience with processing high volume HUD Project Based Section 8 and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) recertifications required.
- Real Page One Site experience is a plus.
- Notary public is a plus.
- COS/TCS/BOS credentials are a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
