Obstetrics Nursing Faculty, Clinical and Didactic - Full Time - Non-Tenure Stream

About the role

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a full-time, non-tenure stream, clinical, and didactic obstetrics faculty member in the Department of Health Promotion and Development.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in both the classroom and clinical setting
• Contribute to course development and delivery
• Support student learning, professional development, and readiness for practice
• Engage in scholarship, clinical innovation, and dissemination through publications and presentations
• Participate in service activities that support the School, University, profession, and community

Requirements

• Appointment-Stream Position: Earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing
• Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship
• Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Assistant Professor: Earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing
• Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is nationally recognized
• Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values evidence-based practice
• Evidence of leadership in the field

• Ability to teach and mentor students effectively
• Strong program of scholarship
• Leadership skills
