Position description
The successful candidate will develop a strong extramurally supported research program, contribute to teaching, mentoring, and advising for the Climate - Ocean - Atmosphere Program (graduate students) and for the Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences major (undergraduates), and engage in service within SIO and UC San Diego.
Qualifications
- Required: Earned a doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Physical Oceanography, Atmospheric Science or a related discipline by July 1, 2026.
- Prioritization: Preference given to candidates with expertise in observational approaches.
