About the role
The University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to join their team as a full-time faculty member. The academic track and rank will be based on qualifications. Responsibilities include clinical duties such as covering labor and delivery activities, overseeing complex pregnancy care, providing perinatal consultations, performing perinatal ultrasounds, and conducting invasive and non-invasive fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for educating and supervising residents and MFM fellows, as well as serving as the Program Director for the MFM Fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the division’s missions of patient care, education, and research
- Administer and operate the MFM Fellowship Program
- Recruit and select fellows
- Supervise fellows and oversee their education in the context of patient care
- Ensure the standards, quality, reputation, and ongoing improvement of the MFM Fellowship Program
- Participate in hospital, medical school, and department committees
- Attend and support department activities
- Participate in division conferences and fellowship activities
Requirements
- Medical Degree or equivalent, active or eligible Florida medical license
- American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) board certified or eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an approved fellowship
