Duties
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a standardized didactic curriculum in Obstetrics and Gynecology for third-year medical students across all clinical sites.
- Lead interactive, student-centered educational sessions (typically one afternoon per week).
- Direct the simulation-based end-of-clerkship OSCE at the NYSIM Center at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
- Ensure alignment of teaching with national curricular guidelines, CUNY SOM Educational Program Objectives (EPOs), Foundational Competencies (FCs), and clerkship-level learning objectives.
- Chair Clerkship Grading Committee meetings, oversee grading processes, and provide feedback to clinical site directors on evaluation practices.
- Oversee advanced clinical rotations, including fourth-year OBGYN electives and sub-internships.
- Participate in institutional committees (e.g., Curriculum Committee, Admissions Committee).
- Mentor students and serve as a faculty advisor for student organizations, including the OBGYN Special Interest Group (SIG).
- Contribute to broader medical education efforts, including teaching in courses such as Practice of Medicine (POM), Organ Systems, Anatomy, Clinical Skills Assessment, and Introduction to Internship (ITI).
Qualifications
- Hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree.
- Be board certified.
- Hold a current New York State physician’s license.
- Demonstrate a commitment to building equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environments.
