OB Technician (SEIU)-Templeton-CA-18685-Pay Negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care during labor, delivery, recovery, and obstetrical surgical procedures.
• Prepare patient rooms and operating rooms for obstetrical procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments and supplies using proper aseptic techniques.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team during operative procedures.
• Participate in surgical time-outs and maintain sterile fields throughout procedures.
• Assist nursing staff with patient preparation, positioning, transport, transfers, and discharge.
• Collect urinalysis (UA) specimens and record maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake/output measurements.
• Provide personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Maintain adequate supplies and assist with room turnover following procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain accurate documentation as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• An associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification is preferred.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification is required.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, obstetrical procedures, and patient care practices is essential.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are required.
