Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an OB Technician, you will provide crucial support to the labor and delivery team, maintaining a safe, sterile environment for birthing mothers and newborns. Every day you'll assist with patient care, prep rooms, manage instruments, support deliveries, transport patients, and ensure efficient workflow, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assists with patient care and prep rooms

- Maintain a safe, sterile environment
- Support surgical procedures by setting up tables, instruments and supplies
- Passes and maintains a correct count of instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies
- Assists in the orientation of new staff and participates in unit Quality Improvement activities
- Records vital signs and intake and output when requested into the patient record and/or computer
- Reports any changes observed in the condition or behavior of patients to RN
- Performs nursing procedures which do not require the skill/knowledge or judgment of a licensed professional
Job Requirements
- Required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, upon hire or completion of on the job training as a scrub tech and with minimum of 5 years’ experience, upon hire or Completion of an accredited medical personnel program such as but not limited to CNA, MA, LPN, EMT I / II, or SPD tech who are willing to do on the job training with a structured competency regimen, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Preferred 1 year experience
