OB Tech-Labor And Delivery

Summary

In a coordinated approach, the individual is responsible for assisting during/after surgery for cesarean sections, assisting patients with activities of daily living, using and caring for special equipment in Labor and Delivery, and assisting the RN/LPN in the care of antepartum/laboring/delivered patients. The Obstetrical Tech is also responsible for certain clerical and reception duties.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Or a graduate of Surgical Technology School

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with unit personnel
• Under the direction and supervision of the RN
