About the Role
Surgical Technologist in the Labor and Delivery Operating Room, responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical procedures
- Understand procedures and anticipate surgeon's needs
- Ensure sterile field maintenance and support quality patient care
- Assist with patient care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have at least 1 year of OR experience or 3 years of direct patient care
- BCLS certification required; NRP preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of surgical procedures
- Proficiency in sterile technique
- Experience in patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting
