About the role
OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with local obstetricians to ensure every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time.
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
- Assist in the management of obstetric emergencies and high-risk pregnancies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the hospital.
Requirements
- Current California Medical License
- ABOIM certification preferred
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for healthcare quality improvement
Qualifications
- Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology completed
- At least 2 years of experience in hospital-based obstetrics
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven track record in improving patient outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
