OB Hospitalist | Murrieta, CA

About the role

OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local obstetricians to ensure every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
• Assist in the management of obstetric emergencies and high-risk pregnancies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the hospital.

Requirements

• Current California Medical License
• ABOIM certification preferred
• Experience in obstetrics and gynecology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for healthcare quality improvement

Qualifications

• Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology completed
• At least 2 years of experience in hospital-based obstetrics
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Proven track record in improving patient outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
