About the role
PeaceHealth has a per diem/relief opening for a MD Hospitalist OB-GYN to support their Bellingham, Washington location.
Responsibilities
- Supports the needs of underserved populations
- Clear communication skills
- Works well with Certified Nurse Midwives and across departments
- Collaborative and collegial working environment
- Experienced nursing staff, Respiratory Therapists, and others available 24/7
- Serves the community of approximately 229,000 people
- Handles approximately 2,000 hospital births annually
- Provides care in a Level III B nursery and two OB operating rooms
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- MD degree
- OB-GYN specialization
- Passionate about serving underserved populations
- Experience in hospitalist work
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Current license to practice medicine in Washington State
- Board certification in OB-GYN
- Experience with pediatric hospitalists
- Knowledge of the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center facilities
