OB Hospitalist
About the role
Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking an experienced Obstetrician to join an established team of OB Hospitalist in an On-Call/Per Diem capacity. In this role, you will work within a collaborative group of certified nurse midwives, family practice physicians, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists in providing quality, coordinated care to families.
Responsibilities
- Work within a collaborative group of certified nurse midwives, family practice physicians, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists in providing quality, coordinated care to families.
- Provide back-up assistance to OB/GYN private practice colleagues.
- Perform surgical assists.
- Work 12-hour shifts, combination of day and night (7 to 7).
- Not required to take call.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5-years post-graduate clinical experience at Obstetrician, previous OB Hospitalist experience, and/or Fellowship trained required.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Current Oregon Medical License.
- Current DEA license.
- Current BLS certification.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
On-Call/Per Diem position, 12-hour shifts, combination of day and night (7 to 7), OB only; No call required.
