OB/GYN Physician - Hybrid Inpatient/Outpatient - Fredericksburg, VA

About the role

Provides comprehensive women’s health care, including preventive services, gynecologic care, pregnancy management, childbirth, and surgical procedures, delivering high quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan in an outpatient practice and hospital settings in alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management.
• Provide on-site physician coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and antepartum units throughout scheduled shifts.
• Provide on-site physician coverage for gynecologic patients including inpatient and emergency department consults and admissions throughout scheduled shifts.
• Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions across the lifespan.
• Perform office-based procedures and surgical interventions as appropriate.
• Deliver preventive care, including well woman exams and health screenings.
• Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice providers, and ancillary staff.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• MD, DO Degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active and unrestricted state medical license
• DEA registration (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care

Pay

Base Salary Range: $400,000 (min) - $430,000 (max)
