OB/GYN Physician
Woodland Women’s Health Associates of Physicians for Women’s Health (PWH), a proud affiliate of Women’s Health Connecticut, is seeking a full-time Physician to support our Ob/Gyn practice in Hartford, CT. The practice includes 9 MDs and 1 APRN, with APRN and Gyn Providers sharing equal call and serving patients across three office locations. The practice is affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, West Hartford Surgery Center, and Hartford Hospital.
About the role
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
- Instruct and counsel patients on compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in providing continuity of care.
- Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System.
- Submit billing at the time of office visit.
Requirements
- Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
- Active Connecticut medical license.
- Federal and State controlled substance licenses.
- BLS certification.
- Eligible for hospital privileges.
- Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills.
- Ability to diagnose patient conditions and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Knowledge of the principles of fetal growth and development and ability to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific needs.
