About the role
Ascension St. Vincent OB/GYN Residency Program is seeking a full-time Board Certified OB/GYN Physician Faculty Member. This is a teaching opportunity in an immersive academic atmosphere within the ObGyn residency program, offering flexibility beyond typical clinical positions. You will primarily work with ObGyn residents at various levels but also engage with learners from Family Medicine, APPs, and Medical Students. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including vulnerable and underserved communities.

Responsibilities
- Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
- Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
- Recommend, participate in, and ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients as needed.
- Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research.
- Provide appropriate documentation for insurance requirements and appeal denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call schedules.
Requirements
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board (required prior to hire).
- Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Advanced Life Support (preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
