About the role

Ascension St. Vincent OB/GYN Residency Program is seeking a PRN Board Certified OB/GYN Physician Faculty Member. This is a teaching opportunity in an immersive academic atmosphere within the OB/GYN residency program. The role offers flexibility and the chance to work with OB/GYN residents at various levels, as well as learners from Family Medicine, APPs, and medical students. You will provide care to a diverse patient population, including vulnerable and underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
• Recommend, participate in, and ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians.
• Act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients as needed.
• Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research.
• Provide appropriate documentation for insurance requirements and appeal denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call schedules.

Requirements

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board (required prior to hire).
• Advanced Life Support certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
