About the Role
This position is for a Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician providing comprehensive coverage at a 98-bed facility with a Level II NICU. The role involves managing approximately 550 births per year, with duties including clinic work, weeknight call shifts, and 24-hour call shifts. The facility is located in Northern Illinois, close to Chicago's cultural attractions, and utilizes Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
- Manage labor and delivery
- Respond to obstetric emergencies
- Perform gynecologic procedures
- Offer consultations
- Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic services, including emergency response and patient management across all ages
- Maintain on-site availability and beeper call coverage
- Maintain prescriptive authority
