About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Denver Health Medical Center, and the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM), are recruiting for a 0.7FTE physician in general Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our team at Denver Health Medical Center.

The successful physician will provide direct patient care and attending supervision of residents and medical students on the inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including night and weekend in-house call.

Job Duties

  • Treat diseases of female organs.
  • Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.

Essential Functions

  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, or examination results.
  • Treat diseases of female organs.
  • Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.

Education and Licenses

  • Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Eligible or ABOG certified.
  • Active or eligible to obtain Colorado medical license.
  • Privileges at Denver Health Medical Center.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Able to perform in a tactful and professional manner.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Computer skills required.

Salary

$263,000.00 - $332,100.00 / yr
