Duties & Responsibilities

• Teaching: Actively participate in the department’s educational activities, particularly in educating students and residents in core educational objectives in general obstetrics and gynecology.
• Research: Encourage and participate in clinical research projects, contributing to scholarly publications and presentations.
• Service: Serve on departmental, health system, and university committees as necessary, and in a professional capacity in the field.
• Clinical: Full participation in the clinical activities of the general obstetrics and gynecology division, which may include clinic, inpatient care, surgery, and participation in nighttime call duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency
• Virginia medical license
• Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
• Demonstrated talent and experience in teaching and commitment to research, and patient care
• BC/BE by the American Board of OB/GYN
