About the role

The Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) Child Support Division (CSD) seeks a Program Supervisor to join our mission-driven team. The CSD aims to promote responsible parenting and ensure children receive the support they need.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Child Support Officers and Support Staff
  • Assign and monitor work activities
  • Prepare and conduct performance appraisals
  • Initiate personnel actions
  • Resolve work-related issues
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring
  • Assist Office Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and directing field office operations
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, policies, procedures, and standards
  • Monitor field office performance and take corrective actions
  • Review and maintain production reports
  • Assess the validity of complaints against the IV-D program
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work in person at assigned OAG work location
  • Perform in-person work with coworkers
  • Arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
  • Travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in Child Support Program, management, or supervisory roles; 1 additional year preferred
  • Knowledge: Child support policies, procedures, and practices; management principles and practices
  • Skills: Computer proficiency; multitasking; prioritization; effective communication; sound judgment; decision-making; customer service; ability to work cooperatively; ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.; ability to travel
  • Other: Proficient in Spanish (preferred)

  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week as needed
  • Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
  • Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
