O.R. Nurse Aide - Surgery - Full Time - Days - 8hr QVH

About the role

Provides patient transportation and assists nursing with patient handling tasks as requested. Other responsibilities may include dispatch, cleaning equipment and rooms, and stocking of supplies. Accepts patient medications from pharmacy or tube station and gives directly to the charge nurse or assigned nurse. Transports medications and requests to and from Pharmacy/Nurse on a non-routine basis when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the facility
• Assist nursing staff with patient handling tasks
• Dispatch duties as required
• Clean equipment and rooms
• Stock supplies
• Accept and deliver patient medications from pharmacy or tube station to the charge nurse or assigned nurse
• Transport medications and requests to and from Pharmacy/Nurse on a non-routine basis

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum experience requirement: Not specified

Pay

$23.00 - $34.50 per hour
