About the role
DEPCOM Power is seeking a Site Technician to support its Solar sites across the U.S. This role involves daily site inspections and maintenance of solar field equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of site equipment, including inverters, transformers, modules, trackers, weather stations, and soil monitoring solutions
- Maintain records and documentation of site activities, visitors, substation work, battery logs, and generator operation
- Coordinate with component manufacturers for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
- Ensure daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems are functioning properly and replace faulty components
- Ensure site safety for all personnel and equipment
- Perform inverter inspections and cleaning, filter and fuse replacement, basic troubleshooting and repair
- Scheduled array inspections of home runs, modules, and tracker system
Qualifications
- Electrical knowledge gained through working experience, military, or post-high-school education
- 1+ years of experience with PV systems or related power generation equipment
- Knowledge of DC systems, wiring, and applications
- Experience using Maintenance Tracking Computer Programs
