About the role

DEPCOM Power is seeking a Site Technician to support its Solar sites across the U.S. This role involves daily site inspections and maintenance of solar field equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of site equipment, including inverters, transformers, modules, trackers, weather stations, and soil monitoring solutions
  • Maintain records and documentation of site activities, visitors, substation work, battery logs, and generator operation
  • Coordinate with component manufacturers for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
  • Ensure daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems are functioning properly and replace faulty components
  • Ensure site safety for all personnel and equipment
  • Perform inverter inspections and cleaning, filter and fuse replacement, basic troubleshooting and repair
  • Scheduled array inspections of home runs, modules, and tracker system

Qualifications

  • Electrical knowledge gained through working experience, military, or post-high-school education
  • 1+ years of experience with PV systems or related power generation equipment
  • Knowledge of DC systems, wiring, and applications
  • Experience using Maintenance Tracking Computer Programs
