Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an atmosphere of employee involvement, trust, and motivation through employee participation, empowerment, work teams, and multi-skilling.
- Provide a culture that is flexible and adaptable to change and which strives for continuous improvement in the accomplishment of work.
- Direct activity to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, prudent business practices, and in accordance with all power sales agreements.
- Develop annual O&M and capital budgets.
- Manage expenditures within the limits of approved plans and budgets.
- Manage safety and emergency preparedness efforts to provide a safe work environment.
- Ensure that appropriate procedures and policies are in place and that employees are properly trained in responding to medical, fire, and storm emergencies; hazardous material handling and disposal; fuel spill response; and other safety procedures.
- Manage operations to provide for compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, requirements, and limitations.
- Interface with contractors and plant personnel to schedule and facilitate testing, inspections, maintenance, and documentation for plant equipment.
- Manage the site's computerized maintenance management system (EAM), coordinate the identification of critical spare part procurement, and manage inventory in a manner consistent with plant needs.
- Manage equipment operation and maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to optimize equipment performance, availability, and reliability.
- Administer and maintain training programs and systems for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of employee skills necessary for accomplishing complete operation and maintenance activities.
- Provide career development opportunities for personnel.
- Serve as the primary contact for and represent Invenergy with the local communities.
- Actively participate and take a leadership role in civic activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the power generation industry with knowledge of operations and maintenance practices associated with combustion turbines and auxiliaries.
- Above average computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior small-team leadership experience at the manager level.
- Above average verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
Base Pay: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD
Annual Bonus: 10% - 40%
