About the role
The selected individual will be required to be within a reasonable commuting distance to a major Texas airport as this is primarily a travel-based role. This role is remote-based and ideally out of Texas.
Responsibilities
- Lead a program that pairs site visits to build Technician capability through hands-on safety coaching, procedure development, observation, and performance audits.
- Work closely with field teams to diagnose root causes of underperformance, implement safe work standards, and raise field competency.
- Develop and facilitate training for safe procedures, observe and audit field work, coach technicians, and verify corrective actions.
- Ensure the sites comply with all company Safety Procedures and Compliance Procedures.
- Create scalable training materials and audit checklists for consistency and continuous improvement.
- Provide on-site coaching sessions with Site Solar Technicians.
- Ensure proper training and explanations to site technicians of the definitions of warranty work, extra work, and pass-through expenses.
- Ensure the completion of assigned work orders from their district and report on the productivity of the maintenance program per site.
- Ensure site security and cleanliness inspections are complete and deviations are handled promptly.
- Attend monthly owner meetings to provide clarification, if necessary, of site operations.
- Ensure proper inventory storage and that inventory used is appropriately documented and replaced.
- Oversee regular inventory audits and investigate any discrepancies found.
- Assist in collecting all necessary documentation and data for RCA performance.
- Travel between sites as necessary to assist Site Technicians and Site Managers.
Requirements
- Experience with PV systems or related power generation equipment.
- Knowledge of inverters, trackers, combiner boxes, general cabling, substations, SCADA, controls, DC systems, and/or wiring & applications.
- Experience leading or coaching utility scale solar teams.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) power distribution equipment.
- Prior experience in a safety role.

Pay
$90,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
